I am also very happy it's coming out sooner... like a late Christmas Preasant!

I'm waiting till midnight, hoping it is actually released at the tick over on the 31'st. :-D

Well crap.
I JUST noticed today that it says 2020, which means it's another WHOLE YEAR. before it's going to come out! :-(

Don't worry, I'm sure it'll get delayed some more first... ;)

Personally I'd rather that than get a dodgy/incomplete product; however since Paradox is involved, it'll probably be at least a year or more before all the required DLC are out, and possibly longer before they're in some kind of affordable bundle.

I just didn't read the date correctly.

Oddly I also did that when I pre-ordered it.

True, but I'd assume as publisher they'd have a significant amount of sway in the way it gets released, and there are already plans for DLC AFAIK (e.g. for extra playable clans if I'm not mistaken).

While that may be true, "run by different people" doesn't mean that the publisher has zero influence on the developer. There have been many cases throughout the years where publishers have pressured developers one way or another (usually resulting in releasing a buggy mess too early).

I assumed it was Paradox? I could be wrong of course, but they'd definitely have the money and it's usually the publishers that fund the product. I doubt the developers put forward the funds themselves, nor do I believe they have enough cash stashed away to pay their team until they get some income from sales (or preorders).

That and Paradox holds the license.

That's just a place holder date probably. Nobody would ever in their right mind plan to release a game right AFTER the Christmas season.

Anyway that seems unlikely given that the date has already been pushed back.... might even get pushed back again at some point. :-o
