I'm wondering about this character and wheter she any any impact on the giovanni questline XP gain/storyline. You can persuade her to show you the way to the giovanni basement, after clearing the first floor of zombies she tells you to follow her further into the second level.

On the second floor she presses a switch and opens the gates for you then for some reason she stops by the third gate as if to let you go through first. If you do the gate closes immediately behind you even though you can still see her trying to follow you before getting stuck on the closing gate. Is this how it's supposed to be? I can't open the gates by myself and I'm wondering if it's a bug or if it's intended this way.

She only shows you a way through the traps and zombies. At some point, assuming she doesn't get stuck, she says something like, "This is too creepy! I'm going back!" and runs away. So if she got stuck and didn't follow you, you're not actually missing much.

Ah okay, I thought maybe the unofficial patch would have fixed something about it, oh well. Thanks for the answers.

I think the last thing Nadja does is showing you the skull lever, then she will leave...

Ah, the first play through ---- once Nadia shows you, in following games, you don't need her to throw it.
