Hello,

I suppose the answer to my question is totally obvious because it the support did'nt answer when i asked them three days ago but i'm stucked, i can't play the game so i ask here anyway.
When i load the game, after the cinematics (that i hear but don't see but it's another subject), the game demand a cd key.

And i believe i don't have it.There no mention of if in the manual or the read me in the game folder. It's the first time for me to have a gog game asking me that so i must be missing something but i don't know what. I installed the game by gog Galaxy, is there something i should have in the folder if i proceeded differently ?

Thanks to anyone who could tell me where is it. It seems it will be trivial but it will help me play the game (if the cinematic problem is not a bad omen).

CD Keys for games bought on GOG can be found in your game library here on the site. Go to your game, then if you click "More" you get a dropdown menu. Go to "Serial Keys" from here.

I thought GoG was DRM-free?

Only in the sense that the installers are DRM free, ie you can always store the installers any way you want and never have to authenticate your game license externally. It means that there is no active or passive enforcement of your game license other than GOG saying "Just follow the agreement, ie don't pirate the game, don't give it to a friend etc. We trust you to be mature about this".

Honesly, saying that CD keys are DRM is really muddying the waters. They are non-invasive. DRM that actually causes trouble for the customer are hidden monitoring software that nestles itself into your operating system or "online activation" that relies on servers out of your control checking your game installation and perhaps even come with limited activations. CD keys on the other hand are opt-in, you don't have to use them to install the games, you only need them for optional multiplayer functionality.
Strange. Redemption of GOG version never asked me for key, not even once. I have the retail 2x times though (bloodlines had 1 copy of redemption as gift), so this wouldn't be an issue. If you need a key just PM me, i can let you have one of mine. Multiplayer is discontinued anyway, so i won't have any trouble sharing it with you.

There is not a serial key in that menu. According to the support, there is something wrong with my installation or the compatibility with my version of windows, not a missing key. I will attempt to check all that and correct the problem.

But thanks for the answer, i will keep it in mind.
