:) - yeah, there's a lot of these "hurry and get it out" errors in the games.
Just think of "gold" as a currency standard. Hell, at least they took the time to make 'cash' look like pounds sterling in London and greenbacks in New York.
I always thought silver coins == low value and gold coins == high value. With the dark ages currency apparently being gold, I'd assume silver is meant to represent lower value currency (think cents). They probably decided against complicating things by adding fractions or exchange rates.
