I can tell you yes because I've done it but I don't remember how. I do recall that there is an issue that one can break the game if not done correctly. I'll look around. I think Vampire Planet is gone but Tessmage is still around - I'll dig around there.

Interesting. I've been trying to get on there for nearly two months and all I achieve is a "unknown site" (or something like that) error message.

The issue is that windows media player adds some junk to the files and that makes the game crash. To avoid that, simply make a copy of the music files you are interested in and play them only from that copy.
Or set the read only flag for the soundfiles in the game, but that is dangerous because you might forget to set the flag again after installing a new version of the patch.

One track is missing, though. The one called Needle's Eye, playing in Santa Monica beach radio. It is found in the separate radio files, but not as the licensed, standalone tracks, alas.
