So I felt like trying out some cheats but every time I type something into the console, I can't get back to the game itself afterwards. It's like the game thinks I'm still in the console. Anyone know what to do?

I tried "restart" as a command just to see and it worked, however it respawns me at some random point on the downtown map and the cheat is deactivated.

This is a common problem that is easy to circumvent. Either only use the console from the main menu or type "chareditor" and continue from there.
