Hello,

Centuries ago (it seems), I bought the french version of the game. A CD with the infinitly long CD-Key printed on the box and a wonderful packaging (still have it).

I'm playing with the GOG version of the game in english. It's not really a problem but I wonder why there is no localization. Is it not possible to have language option back in a future patch ?

I suggest you to contact GOG support: they might ask you to send them some files from your original CDs in order to add the french localization, if they have the rights to publish it.

Thanks to you, this might give benefits to both you and other users.

Meanwhile you may want to take a look at this guide in order to install the french localization of the game. The guide is for the Steam version, but I suppose it could work on GOG version as well.

If you don't want to download anything from the net, I suppose you can instead use your CD to grab the needed files:

The file Local_FR.nob;
The directory Video;
The directory Sound\Dialog.
Basically you simply have to copy these files and directories to the games folder, overwriting the existing ones, and then you must rename Local_FR.nob to Local_Eng.nob because the game is looking for the latter.
Otherwise simply download this file which contains everything you need without using the CD.

Ok, I sent a request to GOG. Wait and see.

I'll keep your advice about the localization's files and I'll try it if I have no feedback from GOG team.
