Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines

After some help please, when I installed the game and loaded it for the first time it worked, and the first thing I noticed was that I needed to change the resolution.

So I went into options and did that and then went to restart the game so the changes would take effect, since then all I get whenever I try to start the game is

Engine Error:unable to set mode

Nothing else happens, I am at a loss as to what to do really, I have reinstalled it (several times), tried running the game as Admin and in Compatability Mode XP Service Pack 2.

Any help at all please!

I am running Windows 10.

Thank you

Have you tried running it in windowed mode just to see if you can get it to restart ( Eg. vampire.exe -window )? That should allow you to at least start the game to change the resolution.

You are a genius, I disabled Full Screen Optimisations (I could find a specifc way to make it Windowed) and now it works!

Thanks!
Awesome! I don't want to spoil anything for you if you haven't played the game, but if you play as Malkavian... it can be somewhat strange :)

Enjoy!

I can imagine, I play the tabletop game!

I'm a Ventrue, always liked them on the tabletop (well Ventrue, Lasombra or Setite!)
