I wanted to use dgVoodoo to fix game being too dark. I followed instructions from the PC Gaming wiki, and I followed instructions from youtube, I tried many different ways for all of them it works fine but for me it is broken!

Game looks like this when I play with dgVoodoo

I mean I know I wanted it brighter, but not that bright! rofl!

Anyone know how to fix this? I tried playing around with various dgVoodoo settings but nothing seems to help.
Just wanna say I have the exact same problem as you here.

Have followed guides and installed:

Neural Redemption 1.0 from ModDB

Widescreen fix from: e-mods net

dgVoodoo 2.78.2 from its official Github

Followed the "Tutorial: Optimizing Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption for Modern Gaming" from planetvampire on Youtube

(sorry GOG wont let me post direct links)

Help please dear VTM-experts :)
Bump because I am in the same boat and can't find a solution anywhere

EDit: After A bit of experimentation I could make it work

In the general options of Dgvoodoo I chose

Output API: Direct3D 12 (feature level 12.0)
Adapter: AMD RAdeon RX 5700 XT ( this is my current GPU)
Fullscreen output : \\.\Display1

The rest of the options in this tab I left untouched

In the DiretcX Tab I followed the instructions given in the video mentioned above ("Tutorial: Optimizing Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption for Modern Gaming")

After veryfiying it was working I went ahead and installed the neural redemption textures and so far it seems to be working as intended, I just woke up at the monastery and looked around for some weird graphical glitches and found none

I will update if I find any issues along the way
