I have heard that this game had some sort of co-op mode. Is this true? I have also heard that there is some sort multiplayer, too, where one player takes on the role of Dungeon Master, or something like that. Is that true?

The Age of Redemption mod allows you to play SP mission in MP co-op.

The original retail release had a multiplayer setup like Neverwinter Nights, yes. There was a level editor of sorts that allowed the Storyteller (the Vamp version of a Dungeon Master) to place scenery and NPCs, and control the various NPCs in the adventure. Or at least that's how it was advertised. I missed out on the retail version, so I'd really appreciate if someone could confirm whether the editor and multiplayer content is included here.

Anyone?

Is e-mods gone or has it moved elsewhere?
I have to run Redemption through Crossover and Darwine since I'm on an Imac. Can I still get the mod to do multiplayer SP mission? Cause that would be bitchin'. Also, after finally playing this game. I've realized how much better than Bloodlines it is (in my opinion anyway). Much better storyline, better characters, and you get to play as multiple vampires. Annnnd it spans over 800 years.
I've played Age of Redemption 2010 as mentioned above with great success. Be sure not to install too many MODS before doing this. The odd MOD will mess up how switching areas works around the Teutanic nights area, Tremere Chantry, and Hermatic Order shop. Other then that have fun. Choose whatever vampires you wish to play and go for it.

I broke down and bought the game now that GoG discounted it. I'm replying in case anyone is still curious.

Bottom line, MP is still included, and appears to be "baked in" to the main executable. You have a menu option to begin a LAN or Net based game, using a lobby system to select scenarios and gather players. The game comes with a couple of starter MP scenarios to start you out, and there are "empty" hangout MP maps for non-combat interaction if that's all you want. The Storyteller mode seems pretty straightforward, although clunky in execution; it'll take some experimentation to figure out the controls. Apparently, one can jump back and forth between PC and ST mode at any time (at least in the pre-generated MP scenarios). I kicked around the ST mode for only a few minutes, so I likely missed a great deal.

An important limitation on MP is that Net games require a connection to the now-defunct WON.net server. Dunno if there's an alternate server system one can access at this point (Anyone care to comment?).

The game does not include a level editor in the GoG package. However, the Nod engine SDK can be downloaded separately here:

What appears to be a fairly comprehensive online manual for the SDK can be found here:

http://nodsdk.e-mods.net/

....And in case one didn't notice in other posts, this site provides some assistance in mapping as well:

http://nodsdk.e-mods.net/

According to the docs, the level editor, Embrace, is a modified version of the old Radiant map editor for Quake. If you're familiar with Radiant (I'm not), you'll probably be able to get oriented quicker.

tl;dr version: it's not Neverwinter Nights, but it mostly works ;) .
