I decided to get into the Halloween spirit and reinstall bloodlines on my new PC. I tracked down the texture packs and I was wondering which unofficial patch is better, wesp's or the True Patch found on tessmage. I'm more concerned about bug fixes and restored content, rather than game-play modification. There seems to be some animosity between the two creators so I thought I'd try asking here, since everyone's quite civil. Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Both are good patches. Wesp5 has been a lot more liberal on what he defines as a patch but most of that is in the past as he now has a "+" patch and a basic patch. It may be hard to find, though (at least the latest ones) since Planet Vampire has not been online for more then a week. The "True" patch's selling point has been that it makes repairs only - very little modded content which wasn't really true of the unofficial patches prior to the basic patch. Haven't tried any since Tesera shut down his site (Tesmage) a few years ago. I heard that it is back but have not verified it.

Wesp's patch, the basic version that fixes and restores stuff, worked for me the last couple times i played VTMB, so kudos to Wesp for that.

I think version 7.8 is the latest version and it seems to be up on patches-scrolls.de
