I was recently made arware of crshes when starting a new game with CE. This happens on some systems and is caused because I accidentally uploaded with the wrong version of vampire.dll.
If you encounter this problem, go to your bloodliens directory and copy vampire.dll from /vampire/dlls to /cefinal/dlls.
