I have Bloodlines on Steam, but it requires limiting VRAM to run properly. Is the GOG version playable without resorting to such fixes?
And please, don't mention the community patch, I prefer to play games "as is", even if the original version has certain flaws.

The GOG version comes integrated with the Unofficial Patch, but if you launch it from the Legacy shortcut, you will only get the memory and similar hard-ware fixes and the gameplay is like in the original game.
