I started doing the tutorial, and when it comes time to use the 'Blood Purge' power on the two Sabbat it doesn't work. I have the 10.0 version of the unofficial patch installed, but the power still doesn't work. I am on Windows 10. A year ago when I first installed the game with UOP 9.8 beta 1 the power worked on the same system. I am doing the tutorial cause it's been a year since I last played and forgot the controls.

Edit: I forgot to mention I know it's not the patch. Cause when I was using 9.9 the power worked. So it has to be a bug in the game itself. But if anyone has a workaround or solution it would be most appreciated.

Edit 2: Okay, I restarted the game and refused Jack's help. At my Haven I left and used the 'Blood Purge' power on the first npc I saw. This time it worked. Does anyone know why the power did not work in the tutorial?

As far as i know it was a common problem.

It was bugged.

It had messed up triggers if you had a thaumaturgy of 2 or more
It had messy triggers if you did not had another discipline aand..some combinations caused problems with the trigger too, like..."using purge worked but the game does not notice it".

The only ways to avoid problems was to dening Jacks help or to cheat, otherwise try as long as it works if you're patient.

Thanks for the tip. I am currently using 10.0 of the unofficial patch. I have two points into Thuamaturgy and the power has been working since I denied Jack. I just hope that when I add the third and fourth points the power still works. It is my go to power when an enemy gets too close.

I have looked into that in the meantime and fixed the problem, which was tutorial only...
