hej everyone,

so I have this strange graphics thingy happening ever since the official game release. With this I mean to emphasize that I didn't have this problem in earlier beta releases.

When I start the game, the main menu is a black screen. When I go into a savegame of mine, many of the menu buttons in the screen corners are also blacked out. The codex is entirely blacked out.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Hey,
sorry to hear about that. Our only guess is that perhaps some files were damaged somehow. We would recommend deleting all the config files next to your Save files and trying like that. (Or even the whole vanilla folder, just copy your save files into safely first.)

Hmm. In terms of technology, we have not changed anything between the EA and Final builds so that is very strange.
Are you able to open the F1 inbuild reporting? If you can, could you send in a report?
Wanna look at your config, especially graphics settings if we can find some similarities perhaps.
Any chance you can also share some screenshots? Maybe those can trigger some ideas too.

Also, are you installing the game through Galaxy or via offline downloaders? Have you tried multiple versions? I.e.: still not good in v1.012 either?

Hello,

well, I was thinking about sending you a report and a few screenshots now. I just installed the last version (v1.0.15), and the bug disappeared. Everything seems to work as expected now.

Thanks you! And congratulations for the launch. I have bought the game while in dev a long time ago, and I really enjoyed the experience. I will be able now to discover the game released :)

Hey, to be completely honest here...we have done nothing. :sweatsmile:
It was either a Unity or a GOG update glitch. No idea.
