This game is still one of my all time favorites damn I have played this allot. I know that Eidos still owns the license to the game and it sold pretty bad.

I still think Eidos should give it another chance or sell the licensee to another company or sell it to any indie developer then this game might have a good chance on kickstarter. With the recent success of kickstarter and allot of games that has been brought back even games older then this game it could have a huge chance of becoming something great.

I'd say while there is small niche community of fans, there isn't much possibility. Like you said, the series hasn't sold well and isn't likely to come back. There was a sequel however, produced by Rocksteady, the guys who now do the Batman games.

While Eidos still owns some of Rocksteady those guys have been bought by Warner, and I'm pretty sure the team for the original Urban Chaos has long been dissolved. Additionally, Kickstarter is more a tool for smaller budget games made by independent studios, if the rights are still owned by Eidos it's very unlikely that Kickstarter would really be advantageous for them.
