Hi Guys,

the game wont start when i click on it. nothing, no error message or whatever. fallen.exe just shortly pops up on the task manager and disappears.

i'm running it as administrator, uac on, tried all compatibility modes and installed to c:/gog/urbanchaos

i thought it was safe to buy this game, cause there werent many forum complaints ;)

Crashes on me after the intro videos.

Installing this specific version of DirectX fixes it:

But now the game is randomly freezing on my Win7 32 machine :[

i installed that DirectX but still no luck, maybe i should just dl this game for ePSXe and try the if the console version works...
i did some google research and found that in config file there is fix_directx=0 just remove that 0 and put 1 to it and the game works perfectly

I can't get the game to work either. It just keeps returning the error "fallen.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." The "fix_directx=1" in the config file didn't work for me either. Is there any other way to get the game to work?

The game use to work just fine (except it booted me back to desktop if I failed a mission) but now I can't even get it to work :/

it used to work for me, and then at some point in the last couple years it broke. same thing happened to me with soul reaver, soul reaver 2 and blood omen 2, now nothing i do can get these games to run on my win10 pc

The same thing happened to me. However, I decided to try to use a patch that allowed me to play Might and Magic 9 recently, and fortunately the same patch allowed me to start up and play Urban Chaos. I visited the following GitHub page:

I then downloaded Release v1.0.58.0 and followed the instructions. Specifically, after unzipping the downloaded file, I added the dinput.dll file into the game's installation directory. Now the game starts up properly and is working for me on Windows 10.
