I have tried to play 2 different demo versions of the hacker simulation Dark Signs and I keep getting a "Connection Refused" error when I try to connect to a network. Does anyone have any experience with this game?

Hello from 11 years in the future! I just found myself in the same predicament as you were in all that time ago. This thread, and another from the wayback machine, were all that I was able to find on this subject.

Turns out, you need to run the game as an administrator to be able to connect to in-game servers! Seems totally bizarre to me, but there you have it.

Hopefully, this thread will help another wayward hacker one day in the coming decades.
