I can't get it to work, even when launched with a shortcut ending with a parameter of -window (which worked when I had the retail version). Any way to get it to work?... And I'm saying start up in window mode, I know it can be changed with the button in the top right, but I need it to run in window mode from the start, so it doesn't change my display settings at all for full-screen play.

If you find the UnrealTournament.ini in the unreal folder where you installed the game and open that with notepad, you should beable to edit fullscreen=true to false or something along those lines. Save the notepad file and it should start windowed from the beginning.

That pointed me exactly where I needed. Thanks!
For others that need this help too, here's exactly what I did.
I opened C://Program Files/GOG.com/Unreal Tournament GOTY/System/Default.ini
and I changed the setting "StartupFullscreen" to False.

Has anyone encountered an issue where UT99 still goes to fullscreen even after changing the Default.ini? The game keeps resetting the file for some reason. I'm running Win7 64-bit.
