I've got a question for anyone who has bought this: How is the installer?
One of the things I love about GOG is that the installer takes care of all the "crap". No more flipping disk, or downloading patches, it just works.
I've been a fan of the old school UT for years, but I hated all the configuring to get it working on modern systems.
For example, the original render was for fdfx, so you had to grab an updated D3D render to make it work (better) on modern systems. I
Does the installer take care of this? Does it install the hi-res textures?
I know it's relatively painless to manually install this stuff, but I'm a lazy, lazy man.
I already have two copies of the game, but if the GOG installer takes care of the 'under the hood" work, I'd gladly pay another $10 for it.
