No matter how many times I try to start Unreal Gold and just play the game I find its stuck in the opening Demo mode. All I can do is fly around. I can't read journals or pick up medkits. I can't do anything. Its just me, a crashed ship, flying, and that lil flaming unreal at the bottom. Any idea what this is and how to fix it?

Have not been able to reproduce. Are you sure it's not the usual culprits - installing inside Program Files, insufficient privileges, etc?
