So i'm on Dell D800 with Pentium M 1600 / GF 4200go 64mb / 256mb ram Win XP.

I play with D3d render, and on 16 color bit all is ok, but if i select 32, its just lags like hell.

In 3dfx mode i can't even select 32but, its not there.

On another pc all is ok.

Well, you could try OpenGL or maybe Kentie's DirectX10 renderer (you have to download that from his site and it works with Unreal 1 engine games like Unreal Gold, UT99 and Deus Ex).
I think you need to accept the limitations of your 2004-2005 era laptop. The GeForce 4200 laptop-chipset is garbage, one of the worst nVidia has ever made. It being unable to render 32-bit colours fast enough does ring a bell. By name it may look like the laptop equivalent of a desktop gaming graphics card but it really isn't. It is just barely good enough to play streaming video and DVDs.

I'm playing far cry 1 with good fps, and you are saying its only good for dvd? Are you ok?

Anyway, installing another driver fixed issue.
