How can i set a higher resolution lik 1600x1200?

Open UnrealTournament.ini in the UnrealTourmanet\System folder.
Search for "FullscreenViewportX", then change the value to 1600.
Go to "FullscreenViewportY" right below, and set the value to 1200.
Save the file and play UT.

Ralackk has given the UT99 method, but Unreal Gold is pretty much the same. The only difference being that in Unreal Gold it is called Unreal.ini, and is in the Unreal Gold\System folder. Both games have a very similar setup of files.

Yea I had a brain fart... I checked on my version of UT as I don't own unreal gold myself and just put that instead of the game you had. Same method in the .ini but as korell pointed out they are called different things and in different folders.

You can also install one of the 3rd party D3D 8, 9, or 10 renderers. These also give higher resolution options. There's some links to their locations in another posting, or just google for them
