As per title: How do I run Unreal Gold in 2560x1440p? I edited the respective config file, but whenever I start the game, it starts in 2016x1200 instead. Is that the maximum resolution?

I'm running UG under Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Try to apply the DirectX 10 patch first. Maybe that helps with the higher resolution. I never had the game only read this, so isn't a sure solution.

Try downloading and install the OMP-UGOLD-V0.2 EXE from here:

http://www.unrealtexture.com/Unreal/Website/Downloads/Patches/OMP/OMPPatches.htm

Then get the 227i patch for unreal gold from here:

http://www.oldunreal.com/oldunrealpatches.html

and setup to use OpenGL by pressing TAB at the flying around castle opening video then type PREFERENCES hit ENTER and that will bring up advanced options. Then go to drivers and to game render device and change to OpenGL support.

And if you want to use the extreme texures from here:

http://www.unrealtexture.com/Unreal/Website/Downloads/Textures/ExtremeEnd/StockUnreal/UnrealExtremeEndMain.htm

Go to rendering then opengl support and check that UseS3TC is set to true.

Wasn't necessary, the DX10 patch did the job.
