Simply put, Unreal Gold just didn't work for me up until just an hour ago.

I ran across a suggestion to turn off Data Execution Prevention not just for Unreal Gold specifically, but simply use the option to only have it turned on for "required windows programs and services".

Now why this doesn't work when turning DEP off for the Unreal exe specifically, I can't tell you, but at least for me it didn't.

I had a similar issue with Command & Conquer 3 - Kane's Wrath recently. Except there it was the Nvidia Control Panel. Telling the game to make use of the dedicated GPU didn't work, but setting the Global Settings to use the dedicated card and then telling the game to use the global preference, did work.

So, just saying, even if it makes no sense, just try stuff like this.

Wouldn't launch in Windows 7. Went to containinfolder snd used Windows "Troubleshoot compatibiliy " on the launch file . It suggested launching with Windows XP (SP2).
