downloading ut2k4 now,
I was a heavy source modder.. well mapper and texture artist (ok not so great at either). but, as older tech usually requires less resources than newer tech, how easy might you think it is to create a map in ut2k4?
how about models?
or, is there already a Goldeneye UT2k4 mod?
<3 goldeneye..

IIRC, you could use the free gMax (Now no longer supported though) to create models for UT2K4.
If you are familiar with creating maps in for Source engine games, you should be able to learn the interface fairly easily in this one. And from there, begin to create stuff. There is a huge amount (obviously :P) of maps out there for this game.

any indication about how to program for it, though?
unrealscript, modified c++!
You can use Wotgreal, it has been design specifically for this one.

That's cool, shame it costs $45 bucks though. Although, I might have a friend who might be able to loan me a copy.
There's a free version, heh.
and quoting a friend : "there's not a lot of additions in the non-free edition"
