Try redownloading the game again something sounds like it was corrupted on the download. If that doesn't work you could try installing the game with your antivirus program off incase that is interferring with the install, I would advise disconnecting from the internet while you do this though.
disabled norton and windows firewall ill download through the gog downloader and see if it helps and thanks

I got a corrupted setup file too, it was because I closed the gog downloader with the task manager because it had stopped working, and it was apparently still downloading the file. Just try not to alt-ctrl-del the gog downloader. Sometimes it doesnt work, but most of the time it does.
Its working thanks for helping

your welcome. You might want to mark the topic answered. : )
I keep receiving "The source file is corrupted" errors during installations. Mostly it's NewTutorialSounds.uax, but sometimes some other files are the reason. Crashes both with and without integrity check. Trying downloading it again and again (five times already) was to no avail, both directly and through GOG downloader.
Windows XP, SP3. Google Chrome, stable internet connection - no disconnects during download process.
What should I do ?

Switch off any firewall software and try downloading it again and see if that works.

Turned Windows firewall off - made no difference for me : both downloads (browser and downloader) ended up corrupted.
Raise a support ticket with GOG staff. They can check the server side file just in case, and they may be able to give further advice.
The only other thing I can think of is to try a different machine/internet connection and see if the issue remains (maybe even use the download you have on a different machine too). That way at least you can identify whether or not if it is your machine or internet connection that is causing the corruption.
