Davane: I have an issue with the save games in Unepic. For some reason, save games seem to delete themselves during play, leaving a message that the game is unable to save for some reason. I have no idea why this is. Any solutions?
Do you get the same result making a hard save at the giant box thing with the beam of light?
Is there something unusual with your setup, e.g. you installed the game into Program Files?
One possible cause is your security software deciding to sandbox the process or otherwise interfering with it. You could try disabling your security software's active protections and then playing for a bit to see if the problem still occurs. If that is the cause you should be able to resolve it by adding
unepic.exe to the whitelist (or trusted files, or safe files, or whatever the feature is called for your particular security product).
