Nirth: EDIT: I now made an honest try against him and I managed to get him to half of his health. The problem arose when he began to silence me and as soon as I picked up a potion to heal he made me spill it, I couldn't even press a hotkey fast enough to drink it as his action would interupt mine so I'm not sure what you're supposed to do at that state. Any tips would be appreciated.

Telika: Don't carry your potions. Scatter them around the room before the fight, and pick them when you need them. Don't try while you're under "mind control", pick/use them right after you hurt him, before he fires his beam at you.

Also, you don't need money to buy regen potions. Just go kill some satyres (if I remember well, you need their intestines) and go make a few potions of your own in the kitchen. You should have been able to buy the recipe by now.
I did but I was too nervous to do any safe micro-manage, I was more prepared for what he was supposed to do and in what order the second try which turned out to be a success.

As for regen potions, can they be bought as it's really annoying grinding Satyrs for their Intestines, it took a while to do that.
Put three points in healing and learn regeneration.

Practice till you can hit him consistently.

Drop everything but your green magic essence and weapon in the bank.

Cast regeneration, hit him, repeat.

Hitting him breaks his spell, so you can either recast regeneration or cast cure if you're losing HP to attrition and have regen up.

At that point he's a cakewalk so long as confusion doesn't cause you a problem. Nothing else is required to make him easy. Just healing level 3.

If you REALLY don't want points in healing you can beat him with healing 1 and curing every time, but it gives you less leeway to make mistakes, esp if your const is low.
Yeah, I suppose I had made my life harder by relying on (scattered) potions instead of spells, as if "silence" was worse than "mind control" (well, it comes earlier). I guess I was terrified of spells and essences after he used my fire arainst myself. I expected him to use me to cast heal on him, or something like that, so I had left absolutely all essences and spells in the bank.

I had still eventually beaten him that way, though (I'm quite far beyond him nowadays), but maybe it hadn't been the most convenient strategy. Having to run to a potion and pick it up in the shorter beam-less intervalls was a bit tricky near the end, especially as I had only small regen potions, cancelling his attack but not healing me during it...
hello medeox
I was going ok after my 5th go... then suicide really!, didn't see that coming.
I'll beat it yet.
