I've ceased to play for a while because I had reached the gate to the no-way-back finale, and I don't really want to leave the castle yet. Sometimes I still play for short sessions of strolling through the castle. And, well, there is this, still not solved :

In the halls, there are a few inaccessible passages, and a few walls that I can break but only lead to a dead end. The same thing is noticeable from "behind", in the bureaucratic labyrinth (hm, yes, I've named this section "greece" on the map). So, I did kinda dig from both sides, as if a junction could be made, but... I'm a bit stuck.

So, there. So far, I've broken a few walls on both sides of the Halls, and still, I'm facing dead ends. What is the deal with that. Am I supposed to find something ? Am I digging through the wrong walls ? Am I supposed to do something else entirely, there ?

Could you give us some screenshots? I briefly though about it but couldn't understand which part of the game you mean.
I don't manage to screenshot.

In the halls (the blue area with the fire sword red knights and the weapon-polymorphing buffoons), sometimes you can see or guess a door or a bit of floor, inacessible, "outside" of the lit corridors. When you enter (through an other door) in the zone where you have to run for paperwork, to get a form that allows you to get a demand for a stamp on a card for a permit to get the authorisation to receive a badge, or whatever, you can break walls there, and find yet other doors that bring you back to the main game area (the halls). But they bring you back to what looks like little isolated cells, detached from the main corridors where the monsters roam.

And you can also break walls towards these cells, from the main corridors. But, well, that's all. You can't reconnect them.

Is it clearer ?

Right ;)

With your directions I was able to come there. When I was playing the game I wondered about it too. There is a lot of those unreachable passages in the bureaucracy quest area but they look so badly designed that I assumed it was a bug or unfinished section or (most probably) a mess that the developer forgot to clean. I don't think there is any secret there. But it's just a speculation (damn, i like this word way too much ;)

I wonder if those areas might be for the Challenges. A later update of the game (available from the game's website) implements online challenges hidden away in secret places on the map.

That is what I was going to suggest, they are the online challenges that were not included with the GOG version of the game. I just noticed the game just got updated and perhaps they might have been included now?
Yes. Went back there with the newest version. it's indeed the challenges.

Actually, two of them. Not sure where the others are (seems to be plenty of them).
