Disregard .. Finally found the carpet.

You can only land if there's enough space, a clear area of ground (no bushes, trees or other objects).

Hi... thanks. I've managed to land. But, my party just doesnt' want to get off. They won't leave their chairs. They just sit there. I've clicked the L and R mouse button. Clicked on the bare ground and everything else. No luck with any keyboard keys either. They just sit there. bummer..

Sometimes the carpet/party can be a little buggy. If you have landed and no one will stand up, try entering combat mode. Another option is to launch and re-land. The carpet can be a great tool once you figure out its quirks.
