i just killed 2 gazers in a room with a chest, bashed the chest open and got everything and now for some reason everytime i do something i take damage, im not poisoned so ive no clue what the hells happening and its getting annoying

I'm not sure which room you're referring to, but the two most likely locations are the upper levels of the sewer and the second level of the pits of carnage.

If it was the first then you've probably picked up a cursed piece of armor from the chest. Toss it away and you should be fine again.

If it was the second then IIRC the Firedoom Axe can be found there. You need flameproofing to use it safely.
