I started up UU2 with the default settings and I've noticed my character moves around slightly even when I'm not pressing any buttons or moving the mouse. The perspective just kind of shifts around and sometimes turns slightly. I've tried UU1 and it does not have this issue. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had exactly the same issue with this game. I disconnected my gamepad and disabled joystick support in dosboxULTIMA2.conf. That solved the problem for me, so far at least.

Btw: to disable joystick support, you have to change the value of joysticktype to none
