While exploring the "Truth" section of the Isle of Fire, I found this odd room with "TRUTH" spelled backwards in debris. In the upper left hand corner of the room is an artists' easel. At the southern exit of this room is a corpse, presumably the artist in question, which contains a brush and palette. When you try to use the easel everyone in the party says something like "use pigment", even when I have the brush and palette equipped. Does anyone know if painting on the easel does anything in this room? I *feels* like a puzzle to solve but I've seen no mention of it online.

I've attached a screenshot of the room in question. Thanks!

You should be able to double-click the brush, then click the palette, and then click the easel. If you can't, then that's only possible in the Serpent Isle. Can't remember.
It won't solve any puzzles I'm afraid. In fact:

SPOILER:
Those caves are almost completely pointless to explore, since every medallion is fake. There might be some useful items though; I can't remember that either.
The real medallion is very close to where you teleported in. Its location is *hint* 'shrouded' in mystery. Heehee.
Ahhh, maybe that's the case because I definitely tried clicking the palette. But I suspect you're right in that it's all a basic setup for that *hood* "hint". Haha man, this kind of puzzle really reminds me old Kings Quest type puzzles. I'm glad I've got the internet to help out!
