I see that this thread is a little old. I've got a wireless keypad - it works. I can see that NUM Lock is on or off, yet I can only take 5 hr cat-naps...

Any suggestions?
Another way to fix this is to use the on screen keyboard.

Press Control + Windows key + O

Then click the options button on the on-screen keyboard and check the box for on-screen numeric pad.

Then, you can switch off num lock.

Then run the game and it should work.
