I noticed that gog galaxy updated my ultima games, what is changed?

Basically nothing excepting a dos settings link for ultima 8.

I think they are some kind of control updates that gog is performing some time ago to their whole catalog of games, apparently they are rationalizing version numbers and making some internal changes to installers but not touching game files though.

I guess it will continue until all the catalogue of games is complete.

for me it gave me new desktop shortcuts that launch the games via galaxy
honestly that really dosnt make much sense
if i want to launch with galaxy i would load it 1st
but it is what it is i guess

As far as I know from other titles, after an update, some times, a new shortcut is created in desktop, a galaxy game shortcut, but in the installation folder the non galaxy shortcut does remain.

The creation of a galaxy shortcut is so stupid or genius as creating the normal shortcut because you always could run the game from the installation folder.

Really guys. some critizisms are absurd.

Well I can't seem to get Ultima 7 part 2 to run any more. First said it wasn't installed any more so I pointed it to the folder, now the play button is greyed out and the "manage installation" option is greyed out. Game won't launch directly from the folder either. Good times.
