At the end of Ultima IX's installation 'Nvidia Inspector' prompted that a profile was succesfully imported. I noticed nvidiainspector.exe in the game's installation folder afterwards.

Does anyone know what Nvidia Inspector is / does and what was imported whereto?

nVidia Inspector is a program that tweaks nVidia drivers.

In this case, it seems that it sets up a nVidia driver profile for Ultima IX.

Specifically it sets up frame limiting at the driver level only for this game on nVidia hardware.

Thanks for the info. Just backtracking here to see which settings (if anything) might have been altered. Wouldn't be happy if a 3rd party program attached itself to the drivers re. future troubleshooting... I did notice an entry for Ultima IX in the program-specific settings in nVidia control panel, but then again, many games (including older GOG titles) are in that list. And I can't find any frame limiting settings active there either.

That's because NVInspector allows to access settings that are otherwise hidden, FPS limit among them.

Aha, thanks. So is that the only thing that was added/changed, profile settings for Ultima IX?
