I still have my Ultima IX Special Edition, including the empty sleeve where my lost soundtrack is supposed to go!

To be frank-- I'd buy this just for the soundtrack if the GOG edition came with one (playability issues aside). GOG-- what gives?
There is an easy to use extractor for the music. I'm not sure how it compares though.

You can also go here to download it if you don't want to use the decoder.

Many of the EA games seem to have copyright issues with things like expansions and soundtracks, unfortunately. I'm sure GOG would have included the soundtrack if they could have, because they know that soundtracks are basically the #1 kind of desired bonus content. Unfortunately, again, they can't always do that.
The extractor is good, though you should note that it just dumps some raw .wav files, and since most of the music is looped, it may start from nowhere and end nowhere. You may need to do some handwork.

The soundtrack over at Codex is probably a better bet.

And my hunch is that there's probably no gigantic copyright headaches with Ultima soundtracks. I'm thinking it's just administrative issues.

[Edit: Codex, not Aiera.]

Thanks for the links and information, all!
Almost three years and a half after the last post was written on this topic, I am a little pessimistic about the help I could get here but I try my luck anyway.

I am interested in the extended soundtrack of the game but the link given upper, which leads to the Ultima Codex, directs to dead links.
After some research, I found that it was the only website to provide a soundtrack containing 51 tracks.

Since the links are dead now, I was wondering if someone who downloaded it at the time could re-upload it or find a way to provide it to me.

In any case, any help would be appreciated.
Here's a working link for the Ultima 9 Music Decoder (which extracts the WAV files):
http://jdrexler.com/home/ultima/u9decode/u9decode.zip

From there you should be able to encode the WAV files in FLAC format (which is lossless) or whatever format you like. I think foobar2000 is useful for this.

There was actually an official soundtrack CD released with the "Dragon Edition" of the game too. I had this when it came out in 1999, but not sure if it's still around anywhere.
Unfortunately, I was aware of all of this.
It is my fault. I should have been more specific.

For exemple, I recently bought the Enhanced CD of the soundtrack, which contains 24 tracks instead of the 21 that the one included in the Dragon Edition have.
I also already used the decoder. It added 24 more tracks to those I had, bringing their number to 48.

However, if I compare mine to the extended soundtrack that the Ultima Codex was proposing, I still miss 3 tracks.
It is why I am looking for it.

I already contacted them but they didn't answer me, which I think is normal considering the number of people to who they probably have to answer.
This is why I asked here if someone still has it.

Anyway, I am glad that you tried to help me, since I really thought that no one was going to answer me.
Thank you for that.
And I think I am going to forget those 3 tracks. They don't represent much in the middle of the others.
