ok i decided to give this game a chance after all these years of avoiding it because of all the hate

here are the problems i'm finding that keep me from wanting to play it

1. i get no animation from the avatar... just stuck in a standing position floating across the ground

2. page turning/book closing is SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW... framerates are great the thing just moves so horribly slow

is there some kind of setting in the ini i can use or something else?

my pc's specs since you'll want to know
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
4GB RAM
Nvidia GTX260
Vista Business 64bit

Ok im no real computer wizz but the best options i had with getting all the ultimas to run (including U9) was (and this is win7) the right click on the shortcut icon, click on the compatability tab and choose to run in compatability with Win XP service pac 3.

not sure if this option is in vista as i went from XP to 7

Also right click on shortcut and "run as administrator.

With these two tips i have all ultimas running perfectly.
