While looking up info on virtues i keep reading that ctrl-s displays a list of your virtue numbers,
except it doesn't. CTRL-anything results in Bad Command...
So how does one check virtue values in the GoG version?

Trying to elevate spirituality, but not getting anywhere. I keep talking to Hawk in Castle British
to no avail, would help to know whether it is going up at all. (suspecting a cooldown and the need to
leave/reenter the castle. (who needs Cyberpunk 2077? My PC can actually play this :) )

you are probably right about having to at least leave and re-enter the castle to get points from talking to Hawk

you could try hiking to spirituality shrine and doing a 3 cycle meditate and checking in with hawk
repeating this until your done with spirituality

also as to not seeing progress it takes a fair amount of work between each change in his comment about progression in a virtue. as long as you aren't doing something to lose progress you should be fine
