Getting hit with a 'wrong disk' error whenever I try to enter a town. Resetting the game does not help. Any ideas?

In case anybody sees this message when starting the game, I found that it can simply indicate that the installation is corrupt in some way. In my case when I used innoextract under linux to get the game files from the installer, for some reason it extracted some of the files into __support subfolder. Because of that the program couldn't find them and displayed "WRONG DISK" message.

It may be obvious, but I'd add that moving all the files from that folder to the main game folder (i.e. from ../app/__support/app/ to ../app/) resolves the problem.
Hi. In my case, I only needed to copy the files under __support/save to the main game directory, as having the "overlay" mount over c:\ did not seem to "fool" the game into thinking those files were there in the first place (as they seem to be, according to dir c:\ ).

Note: this (copying the files, as described above) seems to also fix the "wrong diskette" error message on ultima 3.

Hope this helps.
