I just had a blast finishing ultima I, so i moved on to ultima 2, but after i kill all the monster that i can reach, no more respawn! sometimes 1 orc appears after i waste 150 food, but that's obviusly not enough.
Is there a way to change the files so enemies are both more numerous and respawn faster?

Not as far as I know. If you need to grind, go to the Pangaea map, grab a ship, then sail around and wait for monsters to spawn for you to kill with cannons; so long as you are on board a ship, you will never consume food, so you can do that for however long you need to farm xp and gold.

Can you tell me what's the pangea time warp (or whatever they are called)?
I think Ultima 2 has the most difficult start of any RPG. As you say, you can easily wander until you run out of food before meeting another monster to kill to pay for more food. A ship helps, but to get a ship you first need a blue tassle from a thief, and who knows how long it'll be before one appears and actually drops it for you.

I recommend the first thing you do is go to 1990 AD and enter the town next to LB's castle. Inside you will find a food shop (McDonall's) where you can repeatedly steal food and escape town before the guards can catch you. In a few minutes you can have thousands of rations of food, which should last you the rest of the game unless you get spectacularly unlucky with the tassle and/or ships.

You could also try stealing weapons and armor if you want, but the success rate is lower, and the quality of what you get seems to depend on your agility, so unless you started as a thief, it may not be worth your time.

Thanks, and yes, the start of ultima 2 is unforgivable, even more than wasteland.
It's also quite amazing how it holds up so much poorly than the original.
It helps that Ultima 1 got a remake that polished up a few things. Ultima 2 really could have used a similar treatment, but it never happened.

There is a fan-made patch, so that's not entirely true.
It's instalable with the gog veersion.

Sorry, I forget. I think the maps that come with the game should give you some info on how to find it. I can't recall, though, it's been a while since I played it.

I alredy found it.
Also, is it possible to sell items? i have 300 pieces of armor i don't want, and grinding for gold is tedius as tedius can be.

The fan patch is nice, but it only does a few things. It doesn't fix issues such as attribute overflow, for example. Selling items is another thing that would have been nice to see if it had gotten a remake similar to Ultima 1's.

Indeed, it would.
I alredy beaten the game so it doesn't really matter now, but it's weird since even the original ultima allowed you to sell crap you didn't want.
I believe that feature was added by the remake, hence why Ultima 2 lacks it.
