@gidgemuffin I totally agree with you that the Skeletons are a really pain in Covetous!

This dungeon is a real piece of work: lots of respawing skeletons, no magic, no potions, healing only via those green fountains it seems.

I feel underpowered for this. If the game wasn't linear I'd grind up a level before tackling this dungeon. But I'm making it work, just painfully slowly with lots of reloads.

I'm finding that a 2HD sword or hammer is more effective against the rank and file skeletons than the ghost blade.

Any other skeleton fighting tips you've found?

yes.

skeletons reconnect after a few seconds. they can't reanimate if you pick up one of the bones.

try to remember to grab the same piece each time. if you kill 2 or 3 in the same spot, they can mix & match. take them away from where you killed them. you don't have to carry them forever. maybe 7 to 10 paces or so?

on your way down through the mine, you can put gringolet on your toolbelt after you defeat Lothar. you won't need it again until right before you find Khelereth. if you want to use something else that you are more comfortable with in the meantime, please go ahead and do so.
