I'm playing the GOG version (1.1.9H), Windows 10.

Does anybody know if there is a way to pass time quickly? I tried laying down in a bed, but get not prompt for resting a certain number of hours like in prior Ultima games.

Thanks much for any insights anyone has.

resting in a proper bed does indeed pass time a bit quicker. i have always just kind of had to guess at how long to do it. you can tell that time is moving faster if you are near a window. you can see the amount of sunlight change as well as weather changes.

the only other way to pass time more quickly that i am aware of is to edit the default.kmp with a special cheat command which is pretty easy to do.

Thanks. When resting in the bed, do you just lay down on it or is there something else needed to be done to trigger "resting"?
you only need to approach the bed from the right side (the right side if you are standing at the foot of the bed) and double click on it. you will automatically lie down and rest. if you are trying to recharge your mana or hit points, the game will play a little musical note to let you know that it is finished. you can then keep resting to pass more time or click anywhere to rise and resume your quest.

also--you can only do this above ground--not in a dungeon. if you are in a dungeon you will need to have some potions handy or some serpentwyne. and also you can only do this is a bed. you can't camp out in the wilderness.

good luck in your quest to save Britannia from utter destruction!

let me know how your game goes? :-)
