I'm playing the GOG version of Ultima 9 (no patches) on Windows 10.

Is there a way to exit full screen mode so that I can, for example, open up the manual PDF to read something and then switch back to the game window?

With Ultima 6-8 I was able to do that with the windows key but that doesn't seem to work with Ultima 9.

Alt + enter (full screen toggle) or alt + tab (switch to next open program) are the usual windows commands for that sort of thing, that work for many/all games/programs, at least alt + tab, alt + enter isn't as universal. Looks like alt + enter does not work with U9, but alt + tab does.

There might also be a game option to toggle full screen, but I'm not willing to replay that game long enough to be able to open the menu and check.
