I've installed U8 and the mouse lagged, slow to response. This is strange. Let me explain...

I used to receveived U8 with my Sound Blaster 16, so I and legally own it - but this was around 1996/97. So there are times over the year, I played it using, ehem, copy. The thing is, I did play using dosbox using this PC and it played fine.

When GOG make it available for sale, I purchased it. And I plan to play GOG version. But the thing is, the mouse lag, this make movement problematic. It was so slow/lag for the mouse responsive that I'm still in Tenebraum and haven't talk to Bentic(?) yet.

Was it setting or what? It's not my PC problem and it obviously not Dosbox problem. So was it setting or something?

Have you tried increasing the cycles in DOSBox? Hit "CTRL-F12" to increase and "CTRL-F11" to decrease.

Apparently - it still didn't work. It seems that the game is not registering the mouse clicks, or even if the mouse button still down, it seems the game no longer register it. What happened is either these:

1. I click, but the character didn't move.
2. I click, the character moves, but then stopped - as if I release the mouse button, even if I did not.

I realize that the problem is the mouse click - because the mouse movement have no problem - the game have no problem moving the cursor wherever I want it to - but registering the mouse clicks is problematic.

I copied the whole English folder into my other Dosbox directory where I play my other free old games, but the problem persist.

I'm going to check more into this problem...

I have to note that my PC have no problem with mouse, U6 was okay, Strike Commander, Syndicate Wars, etc.
