When I run Ultima 7 I get the dosbox splash screen. Then it switches over to fullscreen, and then just crashes to desktop without throwing any warnings.

Running on Win7 64 bit.

Run graphics mode setup and change resolution... maybe try windowed mode first?

Also, you could try to tinker dosboxULTIMA7.conf file (open it with notepad or any other editor). There is bunch of settings which change the graphics settings:

fullscreen=true
fullresolution=original
windowresolution=original
output=surface
aspect=false
scaler=normal2x

Few things to try:
fullscreen=
try to put window mode (false)

fullresolution=xxxxxxx
try fullscreen resolution to be your native monitor resolution. Also you could try resolution 0x0

output=surface,opengl,ddraw,overlay
some graphics cards don't look some output options. Try playing with them

aspect=true/false
aspect ratio correction. Try if this helps

scaler=
normal2x scaler should be safe choice. You could play around changing these as well.

I solved the problem by checking "Run as administrator" in the shortcut settings. Not sure why I had to do this, other dosbox games works fine.
