Hey all,

I downloaded the mac installer for U7 and everything was working fine, but during my second or third time playing the game the sound stopped working completely.

Other than that everything works great.

Any ideas?

I’ve experienced the same problem. Pressing File > Reset game data fixed the sound issue for me, but this deletes your save file. I couldn't find a way to keep the save file without reintroducing the original issue.

Yep that worked.

Going forward I will probably be using File->Export Game Data occasionally. Maybe if the sound goes out again I will be able to import the most recent working data without losing my save.

Unfortunately I marked the wrong post as the correct solution. Also unfortunately, the GOG forums seem to not let you change your mind once you have already marked a solution. So now my mistaken mouse click is recorded forever!

I meant to mark sanderpe's post as the one that helped me. As great as the "Just use Exult" replies to all questions regarding Ultima VII are, sanderpe's post is the one that actually directly answered the question which was asked.
