I'm pretty much a total novice when it comes to RPG's, but I have a friend who's always prodding at me to give the genre a fair chance. I'm going to try and do just that, and he suggested I start with Ultima 7. I'm a few weeks into the game and making... well, a little bit of progress, but I could really use any and all of the feedback I can get from veterans of the series. I'm blogging about the whole "project" at GameShy and would appreciate general tips and input (not spoilers of course) from the resident experts. Thanks in advance!

Just a few helpful hints......

Deer hunting is the best source of food....Aparantly they have five legs :-)

Dont loose your ship\wagon deeds or they wont be usable

Talk to Lord british often he is a big help

and number and name your save games in case you have to reload at a later date
