Do the ruins of Blackthorn's castle really exist on the Terfin island?

The manual say this:

Terfin
Terfin is the home of the gargoyles, built upon the island once occupied by Sutek
the Mad. Most gargoyles travel daily to Minoc in order to work in the mines. In
Terfin one may find the gargoyle Hall of Knowledge and an active Fellowship
branch. Not far from Terfin are the ancient ruins that were once the palace of the
traitorous Blackthorn.

But I haven't been able to find any ruins on the island where Terfin is and several sources I found on Google seem to indicate the ruins are gone as of U7.

Thanks for any insights anyone has.

Yeap, completely gone in U7. The timeline is pretty weird in the Ultima games. I guess the earth swallowed it, just like Stonegate (although Stonegate has at least some ruins left).

The info was noted by Batlin in the Book of the Fellowship. This book was said to be written a few years prior to the time of U7, hence, the apparent inconsistency.
The ruins are gone or rather are the foundations of Terfin in U7

But then magically came back in U9 (Stonegate that is).

Oh man, don't get me started about that game. xD
I think Spoony on Youtube (Spoony's Ultima Retrospective) explains it best what an atrocity of a game it is.Horrible bugs and crashes aside, just dragging any lore that all the Ultimas had through the mud.
